Roseburg Forest Products Moving Oregon Headquarters

Big changes are coming to Roseburg Forest Products in Dillard. RFP has announced it’s moving its headquarters to Springfield.

Officials with the company say they want to expand its resources to be able to recruit professionals who are in urban areas. They say the location is prime.

“The location is terrific for access both to Roseburg and Portland, and the airport,” says Human Resources VP Kellye Wise. “Having a regional airport at least close by was a huge benefit for us.”

Primarily, corporate level departments like finance and sales would be impacted. Roseburg Forest Products is the largest employer in Douglas County.

Wise says the move is just a relocation; not a reduction. “We’re still heavily present in the Roseburg area. We have well over 1,700 employees and plants that will stay in Douglas County or in the Roseburg area.” The company plans to make the move in September 2016.
