Maley & Wertz Acquires Kirkham Hardwoods, Inc.
Maley & Wertz Inc., an Evansville-based firm that acquires and sustains North American hardwoods, has acquired Kirkham Hardwoods Inc.
According to a news release, the merger will better position the combined company as an industry leader. Maley & Wertz, one of the oldest members of the National Hardwood Lumber Association, was established in 1884 and is in its fourth generation.
Kirkham Hardwoods, based in Terre Haute, is a high volume production sawmill.
The two companies will share technology, data and infrastructure but will remain separate operationally, according to the release.
