Minda Acquires Fingerjoint Specialist Howial

For many years, Minda and Howial have collaborated on projects, with Minda supplying conveyors and presses, and Howial providing fingerjoint technology. A cooperation contract was signed in 2022 to enable integration at the operational, sales and procurement levels.

Now, Minda has acquired Howial to further merge their respective expertise. Howial’s extensive portfolio of machinery will be expanded by joint developments in the higher performance range in order to serve all customers who manufacture engineered wood products on an industrial scale.

With this acquisition, Minda secures longterm access to fingerjointing systems and further expands its expertise in the field of complete systems. Specifically, the integration of the fingerjointing systems into Minda’s production control technology, FlowMate, further reduces the numbers of interfaces leading to a complete system that is seamlessly integrated in terms of software.

“I am looking forward to continuing our trusting cooperation and implementing numerous innovatives ideas. When technology and business purpose match and the two entrepreneurs work well together, a joint path into the future is a logical consequence,” says Robert Falch, Managing Partner, Minda Group.
