Lewis Controls was formed in 1971 by Dick Girouard and Bob Lewis. These gentlemen were ahead of their time. Many innovations that are commonplace in sawmills today such as hydraulic linear positioner cylinders, and many elements of modern scanning and optimization technology were integral parts of their early work.
