Element5 Installs MiCROTEC Goldeneye Scanner
As part of the $107 million expansion of Element5’s mass timber facility in St. Thomas, Ontario that will double production capacity, the mill has added a new MiCROTEC Goldeneye multi-sensor quality scanner specifically to automate lumber grading. The scanner was selected in part for its ability to deliver more consistent product quality.
Chris Latour, Element5 President, comments, “This cutting-edge technology marks a significant step forward in our commitment to innovation, precision, and quality. A huge thank you to the MiCROTEC team’s knowledge, dedication and professionalism in making this achievement possible.”
