CLT Will Be Part of Upcoming Atlanta Conference
One of the main sessions during the upcoming Panel & Engineered Lumber International Conference to be held in Atlanta March 12-13, 2020 concerns mass timber products, marketing and construction.
Several speakers will address mass timber, including Charles Gale, Strategic Business Analyst, SmartLam North America. The company recently acquired the new International Beams CLT facility in Dothan, Alabama, and has been operating a CLT plant in Columbia Falls, Montana. Infused with new investment, including that of BID Group pioneer Brian Fehr, the company plans to build three more facilities across the U.S.
“This session is a great opportunity for southern pine sawmillers, who are the ones supplying these CLT plants in the South, to check in on the latest developments for the products, including everything from resins makeup to defect detection,” comments Rich Donnell, editor-in-chief of Timber Processing.
