Charles Ingram Lumber Goes With Goldeneye
After a successful partnership built on years of experience with MiCROTEC‘s Lucidyne scanner in southern yellow pine and support from customer care, Charles Ingram Lumber has chosen to partner with MiCROTEC again—investing in a Goldeneye Transverse for its green trimmer in their Effingham, SC mill. Installation is planned for spring 2026.
The Goldeneye Transverse is a high precision multi-sensor quality scanner, designed to deliver reliable grading and value yield improvement powered by MiCROTEC AI. By combining color and laser imaging into a single, advanced multi-sensor solution, the Goldeneye Transverse optimizes efficiency, enhances accuracy, and maximizes throughput in a single pass.
“We look forward to maximizing the value of our lumber coming out of the green trimmer with the new Goldeneye Transverse,” says Glenn Player, QC Manager, Charles Ingram Lumber.
The machine’s new mechanical design ensures seamless integration into the production line, simplifying maintenance while maintaining the most accurate color recognition on all four sides—independent of the board’s cross-section.
