Shelly’s Lumber, the family-owned building material supplier headquartered in Telford, has been acquired by U.S. LBM Holdings.
The 90-year-old Shelly’s is U.S. LBM’s second supplier in Pennsylvania; the firm also owns John H. Myers & Son in the south-central part of the state. Shelly’s has seven locations in eastern Pennsylvania, including Perkasie and Souderton.
“Our partnership with U.S. LBM allows Shelly’s to enjoy the benefit of additional resources to promote continued growth,” co-owner Greg Shelly said in a statement. “Shelly’s will continue to have the local feel and focus that our customers deserve with the resources of a much larger organization.”
U.S. LBM is a collection of eight building material distributors serving the Midwest, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic in eight states with more than 50 locations. The company is owned by private equity firm BlackEagle Partners. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
